Free

This training is designed to support school districts in effectively implementing Title I, Part C Program Requirments and identifying and providing services to migratory children. Districts receiving these funds must give priority to migratory children who have made a qualifying move within the past year, are failing or most at risk of failing to meet challenging State academic standards or have dropped out of school.

During this session, participants will:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Priority for Services (PFS) criteria.
  • Learn the process of identifying migratory students who qualify for PFS.
  • Explore strategies for supporting students identified as PFS through targeted interventions and services.
  • Understand how to maintain accurate documentation and reporting for PFS students.
  • Collaborate with the ESC to ensure compliance with federal requirements and meet the needs of migratory students.

By the end of this training, district personnel will be equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to prioritize and serve this vulnerable student population effectively.
