Simple Strategies to Implement EBPs

Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) in education are a requirement for educators working with any student.  Not only is this part of state and federal regulations, it is best practice.  This workshop investigates the use of simple strategies to use when training educators - strategies that are effective at developing and maintaining the use of EBPs in the classroom.

Intended Audience: Administrators, Instructional Coaches, Special Education teachers

Education LevelIntermediate to Advanced. Students should have: Knowledge of vernacular used in coaching teachers in special education; Knowledge of vernacular used in educating children with autism;  knowledge of "evidence-based practices."

Learning Objectives (LO):

  1. Understand the challenges of training educators who vary in experience, willingness, and personality (LO 1)
  2. Describe ways to improve training and working with others (LO 2)
  3. Articulate the continuous process of implementing fidelity (LO 3)

This course is eligible for 6 Continuous Education Units (CEUs). Student achievement of the learning objectives will be performed through knowledge checks and quizzes.
