This is the eighth course in a series of 10, 60-90 minute online courses. After completing the Autism Assessment Toolkit Part 8: Differential Diagnosis and Identification of ASD, the participant will be able to discuss:
- The effects and consequences of delaying identifying children with autism
- The procedures and skills necessary for transdisciplinary assessment and diagnosis
- The pitfalls and “novice errors” of diagnosis due to behavioral assumptions and lack of training and experience
- The decision-making process for the differential diagnosis of ASD
