Trauma Response Teams: Building Capacity & Resilience (Fall 2026)
ESC Region 13 - 01 Austin Campus
6.00 CPE Credits
$150.00

This training will take a deeper dive into why schools must have trained internal teams capable of responding effectively to trauma.

During this workshop we will discuss, how crisis/trauma teams play a critical role in providing immediate psychological support and help facilitate long-term recovery. This training will be a hands-on learning experience for the participant and participants will practice with scenarios and real-life situations to best understand how to respond to a crisis or traumatic event in their district and or community.

Each participant will receive crisis resources and materials essential for creating their own district's crisis manual, policies and procedures. Each participant will have a clear understanding of materials that are essential for the designated safe room during a trauma response. Each participant will receive a trauma bin and these will be available at the end of the workshop day.

Lastly, each participant will leave with a deeper understanding on the crisis response checklist and how to ensure each item is done correctly, efficiently and effectively on the day of a trauma response.
