Join us for two 3-hour virtual sessions with University of New Hampshire Professor Dr. Michelle Grenier, an internationally recognized expert in the field of inclusion and adapted physical education.

Dr. Grenier will lead APE teachers through two virtual workshops on the following content:
  • Workshop #1: Assessment Practices
    • The first session of this virtual two-part series is designed to assist adapted physical education (APE) teachers with the task of selecting and implementing assessments. In this session, participants will distinguish between normative, criterion-based, and authentic assessments, and discuss the development and administration of appropriate assessments. APE teachers will be encouraged to identify students that can be used as case-examples for administering the assessments.
  • Workshop #2: Writing Goals and Identifying Appropriate Placements
    • In the second session, APE teachers will share their student assessments and begin the process of writing goals and examining appropriate placements and supports. This session will also include an introduction to the role of the Lieberman-Brian Inclusion Rating Scale (LIRSPE) as a tool for identifying environmental supports that can assist teacher in meeting students’ goals.

In addition to providing these two online workshops, Dr. Grenier will be available for feedback and questions between the first and second sessions.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn from this APE expert!
